We decided to promote high school and college band programs that perform Show Style Marches and create a State, Regional, and National competition centered around this concept.  Most Show style bands compete in Battle of the Bands (BOTB) on local levels and the NSBA has no intentions to replace these local battles.  NSBA would like to support the local BOTB and partner with them as a stepping stone to get bands to our State, Regional, and National level competitions.  These competitions will allow high school students to have awards and participation information for their college applications to get admission into a college level program.  The competitions will also serve as recruitment opportunities for colleges and universities across the country to attract top talent to the institutions.
